No cookie banner, and why
A consent banner is needed for cookies that are not essential, such as ads or analytics. WOMP has none. The few things it keeps in your browser are needed for the site to work, so there is nothing to accept or refuse.
What is kept in your browser
- Your sign-in, so you stay logged in. Removed when you log out.
- Your unfinished page, so a draft is not lost if you close the tab.
- A conversation key, if you answered a page, so you can read the reply when you come back.
- Your “Good point” taps, so a note is not counted twice.
- Whether you joined the waitlist, so the page can show that you are already on it.
- Whether you saw the opening animation during this visit, so it does not play again. Cleared when you close the tab.
- Early access, only for people given the studio link before launch, so the countdown does not stop them each time.
- Failed log-in tries, to slow down anyone guessing passwords. Cleared when you close the tab.
You can clear all of this at any time from your browser’s settings.
YouTube videos
Some pages include a YouTube video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, YouTube may set its own cookies, under its own policy.
